It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Simmons. For those of you who didn't have the pleasure of knowing him, he was a true joy to be around. He was dedicated to his profession, despite having to medically retire due to his illnesses. David was integral in the formation of NBFA, dating back to his initial diagnosis of Leukemia. NBFA will always be a part of David's legacy, and every firefighter assisted by the foundation will be in part due to David. I'm glad that I had the privilege of knowing you and the opportunity to work with you. Rest In Peace, brother, we will take it from here.

It doesn't matter if you are paid or volunteer or if the injury or illness occurred on or off duty, NBFA has a financial support campaign that can be tailored to your needs. HOW YOU CAN HELP Please help the foundation to help others by donating to No Brother Fights Alone today
The goal of NBFA is to financially help firefighters in their time of need. NBFA is made up of a board of directors who are all full time, paid firefighters. We, just like the people we help, understand what it is to be a part of the brotherhood and to never give up. We understand the gaps and loopholes in medical insurance and how easily one can be financially destroyed in their time of need. We bring together passionate individuals, firefighter owned companies, friends and family to bring successful campaigns so that not one brother or sister has to fight alone.
